Nancy O'Dell's radio career started as a reporter and anchor for WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach in South Carolina. Later, she worked at WCBD as a morning anchor and crime reporter. The stories she reported in Charleston concerning the lack of leniency by police regarding DUI cases prompted a State Law Enforcement Division to investigate. This led to states authorities enforcing more rigorous regulations in these cases. Ms. O'Dell received her Best Report of the Award from the Associated Press for South Carolina's media. O'Dell, after her stint in Charleston reporting and co-anchor for the NBC Miami WTVJ-TV station, before transferring into Access Hollywood where she is an anchor and reporter on weekends. O'Dell's current role as host of Access Hollywood is complemented by the work she has done for NBC News Today, Dateline NBC as well as NBC News. She co-hosted several of pre-shows and arrivals shows to The Emmys as well as The Golden Globe Awards. The host of The Miss America Pageant as well as the Miss USA Pageant and Miss Universe.
